Author and speaker, Chayil Champion, is a writer, motivational speaker and evangelist for teens and young adults. Champion is also the best-selling author of “Exiting The Wilderness: GOD’s Plan For Us to Repent, Conquer, and Prosper“, “…But He Said He Was A Christian“, “Affiliated” (Book 1 of The Lost Souls Series) ,”Going Pro” (Book 2 of The Lost Souls Series) and most recently, Majesties of Canaan: The Goliath Project (Book 1 of the M.O.C. series). In February of 2014, Champion was signed to Cosby Media Productions. Champion’s Lost Souls series is a compilation of faith based, Christian fiction books that offer exciting plot twists, moral lessons, and a Christ-centered theme. The fictional characters of each book find themselves dealing with real-life issues synonymous to what many young people endure. Champion’s aim and purpose behind these books is to offer teens and young adults, influenced by pop-culture, new literature that they can relate to and to show them how our timeless GOD wants to connect with those of us living now in the 21st Century. Affiliated, which is book 1 of The Lost Souls series, was released in August of 2014 and is now available through Amazon. Champion’s new sci-fi /superhero book series, Majesties of Canaan: The Goliath Project is a fast-paced novel filled with action, excitement and fun characters that both male and female readers can connect and identify with.
After receiving Christ as his personal savior at the University of Miami as a young sophomore in 1996, Champion continued to build upon his Christian foundation by joining Athletes-in-Action (AIA) and Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA). It was through these organizations that Champion grew in the LORD while competing as a two-sport athlete in football and track. After graduating with a double-major in Communications and English from UM, Champion spent over 12 years in education as an English Teacher, Football coach and Vice Principal before committing full-time to writing and ministry. Champion received his Masters of Educational Leadership and Doctorate of Education at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Fl. Champion studied and advanced in ministry under the teachings of Pastor Russel Johnson (I.B.B., Miami, FL), Dr. Tom Mullins (Christ Fellowship, Palm Beach Gardens, FL) and Pastor Toure’ Roberts (One Church International, Los Angeles, CA). Champion has served in ministry for over 15 years and was co-founder of 5,000 Fathers ministry with Pastor Toure’ Roberts.
Now, as Champion embarks on his call to leadership, he aims to use his writing, speaking, and teaching gifts to reestablish hope, integrity, and zeal to a young generation. Champion currently resides in Los Angeles, CA where he serves tirelessly to help people overcome social ills such as poverty, illiteracy, addiction, and depression among others.
